Kano-Lagos Express train services to commence operation soon

The Nigeria Railway Corporation will soon re-launch Kano-Lagos express train service ( 2LL).
The Train has been test running the Rail tracks from Kano to Minna with empty coaches en-rout to Lagos. The 12 empty Coaches including goods Wagons arrived Minna Railway station at about 3pm Friday afternoon.
The repairs on the damaged portions on Minna-Kaduna-Kano Railway Tracks that was undertaken by the Federal Government have been certified and tested
The Express Train was fully refurbished, painted and provided with some state of the art facilities for the luxury and comfort of passengers when fully operational.
The aim is to test-run the Train after major repairs that have been carried out on the damaged portions of the Rail tracks, in preparation of the full take-off of the Lagos- Kano Train services which will soon commence.
The 2LL will pass the night in Minna, the Niger state capital, before moving to Lagos with a view to test-run the Minna-Lagos Railway Tracks which were also been repaired for full operation of the Train services.
The RDM, North Western District in Minna, Engineer Obafunso Suleimon, appreciated the Federal Government, the Minister of Transportation as well as the Managing Director of the Railway Corporation for their commitment, resilience and doggedness in ensuring that the narrow gauge Railway Train services is fully back in operation for the benefit of the Nigerian masses and easy transportation of goods and services in the country.
