ATTACK ON ABUJA-KADUNA TRAIN SERVICE
The Board and management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) deeply regret the dastardly act of attack on the Abuja – Kaduna Train Service (AKTS) last night.
This irresponsible act of threatening the lives of peaceful and law abiding Nigerians and deliberate destruction of the Federal Government critical infrastructure, will not be condone as all hands are now on deck to fish-out the perpetrators to face the full wrath of the extant law of the land.
The NRC management commends the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Kaduna State Government for their swift intervention towards salvaging the situation by rescuing our esteemed passengers on board.
The Management of the NRC reassures the general public especially our valued passengers of its resolve to intensify security and safety of our trains, stations, routes and esteemed passengers through the deployment of security apparatus and further collaboration with security agencies to forestall it reoccurrence.
We are appealing to the general public especially those residing along Railway corridor to assist us with any useful information that is capable of undermining our collective safety to the nearest security agency while we always work assiduously towards safe and reliable train service delivery.
